Working on: Girl Scout Law Learner and parental meeting. If possible please stay during this meeting so that we can discuss a few things.
What to Bring: $7.00 if you choose to purchase the book we will be working in this summer. I would advise buying it because we will be using it a lot. If you are unable to bring the $7.00 but still would like for your girl to have a book please let us know. *Update: Cookie Dough cards can be used for the books.*

Girls - Kinda worked on their law learners. lol We'll do it again next time and we'll have it figured out!
Parents -
Filled out forms: Emergency Contact and General Information form, Media Release form. If you have not filled these out please print one off of the "documents" post and bring it to the next meeting.
Handed out: July Calendar, I'll have extra at the next meeting.
Discussed:
Meeting time and place - 5.45 to 6.45 every Monday. We have a Boy Scout Troop coming in behind us so we need to try to be cleaned up and out by 7.
Missed meetings - For missed meetings when we worked on a badge, just do the required steps, fill out the Badge Requirement Form and turn it in. For Journey meetings it is mainly participation. In order to earn the Journey Badge girls need to have participated 75% of the time.
Snacks - It was decided among the parents that since it was so close to diner time we would not serve snacks, but occasionally go out to eat together after the meeting.
Summer activities - We've planned July with a canoeing day and a pizza party but after this the girls will be making more decisions about what they do. Girl Scouts is a girl led program and we want to give them the opportunity to do so! This is the girls troop and we are merely the facilitators.
100th Year Celebration - Discussed taking the girls to The Birthplace in Savannah to celebrate the 100th year of Girl Scouting
Fundraising - Due to the fact that we are technically a new troop and have not yet participated in a nut or cookie sale then we are not allowed to do any fundraising, however Mrs. Donna is throwing a 31 party this Friday night and all proceeds will be donated to our troop to fund our trip to Savannah. If you are interested in purchasing something and can not attend the party please let us know ahead of time, all orders will have to be in by Friday.
