Law Learner Tutorial

Step 1: Run string through clip, double knot in the middle.



Step 2: Take the right string and put on a backwards "S" dark purple bead and another backwards "S". We're starting from the bottom of the law and going up, 
this one stand for "And be a Sister to every Girl Scout"


Step 3: We will repeat the next two steps for every set of letters. 
Run the left string back through the letters in the opposite direction. 


Step 4: Pull tight and center. 


 Step 5: On the right side, string an upside down "W," light pink bead and upside down "M." 
This is for , "Make the World a better place." 

Repeat Steps 3 & 4





Step 6: On the right side, string an upside down "W," dark green bead, and upside down "R"
"Use Resources Wisely,"


Repeat Steps 3 & 4



Step 7: On the right side, string an upside down "A," hot pink bead, and upside down "R"
"Respect Authority"
 Repeat Steps 3 & 4


Step 8 : On the right side, string an upside down "M," light purple bead, and upside down "R"
"Respect Myself and others"
Repeat Steps 3 & 4


Step 9 : On the right side, string an upside down "S," orange bead, and upside down "R"
"Responsible for what I Say and do"

Repeat Steps 3 & 4



 Step 10: On the right side, string an upside down "S," red bead, and upside down "C"
"Courageous and Strong"
Repeat Steps 3 & 4


Step 11: On the right side, string an upside down "C," light green bead, and upside down "C"
"Considerate and Caring"

Repeat Steps 3 & 4 


 Step 12: On the right side, string an upside down "H," yellow bead, and upside down "F"
"Friendly and Helpful"


Repeat Steps 3 & 4




 Step 13: On the right side, string an upside down "F," light blue bead, and upside down "H"
"Honest and Fair" 
Repeat Steps 3 & 4



 Step 14: Tie a half hitch knot (just tuck it into itself) 
at the bottom, using both strings, 
leaving some space for the beads to go up and down. 


Step 15: Add the dark blue bead under the knot. 
This represents the Girl Scout Promise. 
Tie another knot under it. 
(I did another half hitch, with a square knot under it)

How to use it: Theoretically you are supposed to be able to move the beads down as you say the law. Mine doesn't move so well. So I would just use it kind of like a rosary, touching the letter that corresponds with the law as you say it. 

Whew, I hope that helps everyone! Who knew it would be so complicated!
